Buy
a Brick
Now
you know about the REDEARTH CENTRE, you can
help to get it built.
IT
ASSISTS YOU TO MEET QCA GLOBAL DIMENSION GOALS
This project,
while increasing the children’s awareness and understanding of the
Ugandan context,
offers
an opportunity to help financially in an affordable way.
BUY-A-BRICK
is a fund raising activity that involves UK children in an enjoyable way
while actively forming a sustainable link with Ugandan children.
| 1 |
The
class teachers can show their pupils the Activities Related to Uganda
and the Global Dimension on the website that will explain the context
and the need for the REDEARTH EDUCATION
TEACHERS’ RESOURCE CENTRE. |
| 2 |
The
teachers can then download the BLANK BRICK form for the children to
illustrate and complete to the best of their ability. |
| 3 |
Show
the children the EXEMPLAR PORTRAIT BRICK form to give them an idea
of the sort of thing that we mean. |
| 4 |
Each
completed BRICK form should be accompanied by a donation of £1. |
| 5 |
Each
class’s ‘pile of BRICKS’, and the money, should
be collected centrally by the school. The school should count the
money, keep it, and then send us a cheque for that amount with the
BRICKS. PUT THE BRICKS IN AN ENVELOPE CLEARLY DISPLAYING THE SCHOOL’S
NAME AND ADDRESS. We will take the BRICKS to Uganda for distribution
to a school. |
| 6 |
There
is a Gallery where examples of some of the children’s best BRICKS
will be displayed. |
| 7 |
Each
school that participates will receive a special REDEARTH Gold Certificate.
